Dissatisfaction in Workers Root of Depression, Other Problems

The BBC reported recently that depression and anxiety are now the number one reasons that workers make long term sickness claims for benefits.  This comes as part of a study by Lancaster University and Manchester Business School.  According to their information, workers with lower job satisfaction are significantly more likely to become ill. 

These illness can take the shape of stress and anxiety which will lead to burnout and a massive dropoff in productivity.  Researchers urged employers to become proactive by creating "innovative policies."
